12 Days of Christmas 🎄 Dehydrating Version!

Hi, Reader

Welcome to the 12 Days of Dehydrating for Christmas or any other gift-giving situation you may have!

For the next twelve days (including today), I'll be giving you a quick tip or two a day on gift-giving ideas from your dehydrated food or ideas that you can quickly prepare in time for the holidays.

Day 1: Citrus Wheels

Citrus wheels are made from thin slices of any citrus you'd love to use such as lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruit, satsumas, etc.

Ideas for Use

• Dip in chocolate for presentation

• Make simmering pot kits for potpourri

• Make garlands for decorating

• Gift a jar full of different varieties of citrus slices for use in cooking, baking, and teas

• Make specialty tea bags and include some slices for flavoring tea

• Add to string/ribbon for decorating gift packages!

Tips

• When gifting, make sure citrus slices are dried well and packaged in an airtight container. Over time, they can begin to reabsorb moisture, so package them right before gift-giving.

• Gift a bag with a favorite alcohol for infusing

• For permanent decor, spray a sealant on the citrus slices to help protect them.
